PHOENIX REGIONAL LOAN CENTER (rlc)

Construction & Valuation

What is Construction and Valuation?

The Phoenix Construction and Valuation Section is pleased to have the responsibility for one of the first steps in the home loan process for our Veterans: determining the value of the home. Before a mortgage loan can be approved an appraisal is made of the home the Veteran wishes to purchase. Types of homes includes both existing and new construction. This appraisal is done to assure VA that the loan will be secured by sufficient collateral and to ensure that the Veteran is not paying more for the house than it is worth.

What is Specially Adapted Housing?

The Specially Adapted Housing program is for eligible disabled Veterans living in Arizona, California, Nevada, and New Mexico who may be entitled to a grant from VA to assist them in acquiring a home that is adapted to their needs.
